Nachdem er sich bei der ersten CD (Brilliant Classics 94303) einer Werksauswahl verschiedener Komponisten gewidmet hat, konzentriert sich Belder bei der nun erscheinenden Doppel-CD ausschließlich auf Kompositionen von William Byrd (ca. 1543 1623). Als Instrumente nutzt er ausgewählte Cembalos, ein Positiv (eine kleine, leicht versetzbare Orgel mit wenigen Registern) und ein Virginal (ein rechteckiges, kleines Cembalo) von 1604 der flämischen Cembalobauer-Dynastie Ruckers. Die Aufnahmen entstanden im Oktober 2011 in der Westvestkerk in Schiedam (CD1) und im Mai/Juni 2012 im Gemeindehaus der Doopsgezinde in Dordrecht (CD2).
