You are buying old US M-1951 Arctic Field Trousers. The M-51 Arctic Trousers ensemble is made up of a shell and a detachable mohair frieze liner (not included) which is attached inside the shell. The trousers are worn over the field trousers when the soldier must remain inactive (in a listening post, for example) and when temperatures of -50 to -60°F (-46 to -51°C) are encountered.Description The shell trousers have side hand openings with flaps, a right hip pocket with flap, leg cargo pockets with flaps and tie tapes (all having snap fastener closures), suspender loops, inside button-tabs for attaching the liner, draw strings in waistband and cuffs.The trousers are in overall good used condition, flawless. No tears, repars or unworthy spots. All buttons are present and original. Also preserves the waist and bottom adjustment cords. Somewhat faded color but solid. markings practically disappeared. Talon zipper and Rau Fastener Co. brand metal snap buttons. Size US medium.
