eBay Vintage Amco Models Aeronca K Balsa Wood Model Kit Comet 1940’s Condition Issues — There are 42 photos of the kit below (scroll down to view). — Besides the box condition other issues include: the tissue papers are stained/spotted and some have edge holes/tearing, the plans have holes on folds (presumably from insects etc), the large folded identification number decal sheet is stuck together, a few other things to note below. — I don’t know if this is complete (sold as shown in the 42 photos), I did carefully unpack the kit and I show everything that is present (one of the thicker balsa planks is broken as shown in the photos). — Noted that there are two different sets of plans in the kit. There is a Cleveland’s Eaglet Soarer plan sheet (that is the sheet that has very extensive fold/edge hole damage). The other larger plan set is for the Aeronca K and the plans are from Comet (I know this kit is generally seen as packaged in Comet packaging, I don’t know why it is in the Amco Models box, although the box has the correct model label and box end markings, maybe Amco preceded Comet and released this kit before Comet started releasing their own kits?). — Two other condition notes (the smaller decal sheet shows some deforming and soiling as well, see photos), there are two clear plastic sheets (both of which show some deforming and soiling (one has no printing and is just blank, that one has a corner cut out). One other thing I saw was the metal wire sections shown, one is bent up. — The condition of the balsa stock and the patterned balsa sheets is good (not warped or stained or otherwise showing defects etc). — As noted above the tissue paper all shows damage. The black paper had stuck in one spot to the yellow paper and got a tear when seperated. The white/tan tissue has extensive damage with edge holes and heavy tears (see photos). — The exterior box shows severe wear. I see two pieces of clear wide packing tape on the lid. The box surfaces show heavy soiling/browning. Edge tears/splits with facing chipping and tears, discoloring, creases etc. — Will be packed in a larger rigid shipping container with plenty of room around the interior for proper packing materials, I custom make shipping containers using new double faced sheet foam which I then surround with an outer box (and leave room between the inner foam container for bubble wrap). — See photos for condition details. — Will be well packed — See shipping options above — Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time). — The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated. — I don’t have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I’m sorry for the inconvenience
