Russian BRDM-2 turret rotates 360 degrees and both its machine guns elevate together and will hold elevation. BRDM-2 dimensions are approximately 4 1/2″ long x 2 1/8″ wide x 2″ high. Russian BRDM-2 comes with 3 axles and 4 wheels. Russian BRDM-2 is die-cast metal, except for hard plastic tires. Painted army green in color. There is nothing broken, chipped, cracked, or missing from truck. BRDM-2 model was made in Russian Federation. Russian BRDM-2 (6PAM-2) is part of the Russian Collection Series. Russian BRDM literally ”Combat Reconnaissance Patrol Vehicle”. BRDM is a four-wheeled amphibious vehicle which is very lightly armored by today’s standards. Both BRDM-1 and BRDM-2 versions were produced in Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries. BRDM-2 was intended to replace earlier BRDM-1 with a vehicle that had improved amphibious capabilities and better armament. BRDM-2 is driven by a rear-mounted gasoline engine that also supplies power to a waterjet for amphibious travel. It has a crew of four, a driver, co-driver, commander, and gunner. BRDM-2 armament is same as BTR-60P armored personnel carrier, namely, main armament is a 14.5mm (.57”) heavy machine gun and secondary armament is a 7.62mm (.30”) coaxial machine gun, both located in rotating turret. BRDM-2 armor protects fully against small arms fire and artillery shell splinters.
