When you bring the power down to 1/2 the THD drops to a ridiculous 0.025%, something not even seen in the most expensive receivers of the era! Remember, these are what audiophiles call ”Vintage Watts,” from an era where, unlike today, it was a sin to manipulate or elaborate the power ratings!This classic receiver has two speaker zones, an internal AM antenna and a 1/4″ headphone jack on the front panel.The tuning dial is complemented with a Stereo indicator LED & Tuning meter. Condition:This beautiful receiver is in ”Very Good” condition with minor signs of use and nice, bright dial! Aside from a few small scuffs and a little peeling to the veneer, the only other thing worth mentioning is a few light scuffs to the front panel, most too faint to make out well in the pics. This unit came to us with just the volume knob, so we dug into our ”Tub o’ knobs” and found the set from an SA-202 pictured. We also had to fabricate a set of rear brackets for the lid. While we have shown the spec sheet in the pics, the manual has gone missing, but no worries, it’s available online or we will send you the PDF file directly on request. Please do inspect all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition. Service:On inspection, this unit worked fine with just a little scratchiness to some of the controls and a dim dial, so it went to our tech for servicing.Some of the lamps were still working, but they were most likely going to fail soon all the lamps were replaced with long-life LED’s! The original white incandescents with light blue filters were replaced with Cool Blue lamps we sourced that shine brighter. But if you prefer either the deeper Royal Blue, Green, or Warm White LED’s that replicates the original incandescents, just let us know BEFORE buying or sending an offer and we will switch them out for you free of charge! Technics used an LED on the Stereo indicator so you won’t have to worry about it either. The power indicator is illuminated by the dial lamps and is hard to see with the blue LED’s, so our tech decided an additional LED needed to be added so it shines more brightly! We are in a remote area, still we were able to pull in all our local FM stations with the included wire antenna, activating the tuning meter and lighting the Stereo lamp.
