OUR DESCRIPTION A SPLENDID and NEW 2021 SIGNED JOE RICE Handmade Multi Colored FANCY SWIRL (54MM) Art Glass MARBLE with Green Sparling Aventurine Crystals. I gave you a short description of Aventurine Crystal below for your convenience. I have added a short description of Sparkling Aventurine Crystal below for your convenience. It is a One-Of-A-Kind Handmade Marble by Joe. It has Joe’s personal etched signature and can be seen on the last 2 pictures. It Measures Approximately 56 MM and or 2-1/8″ in Diameter, please see picture number 6 for Digital Caliper LCD Display Measurement. The entire motif consists of many Many Different Colors and they are White, Green, Pink and Light Yellow. The pictures do not do this Marble justice and it is much better seen in person and up close. I consider this Lovely Marble to be in Excellent Original Condition. The pontil mark area is smooth to the touch but can slightly be seen, see Yellow arrows in the last picture. This is a Very Large Size Contemporary Handmade Glass Marble that Measures Approximately 56 MM and or 2-1/8″ in Diameter. He soon discovered a passion for creating glass art, working with his Well Known Glass Making Uncles Joe, Ed, Bob, and Paul St. Clair. He would help after school hours and during the summer months in the beginning years. He would practice, often working through breaks and returning to the factory after hours instilled the seed of dedication to fine craftsmanship and the love of glass. Creating beautiful collectable paperweights and many traditional glass pieces remains a time honored family tradition. Joe has been blessed working alongside his talented uncles. In October 1987 when Joe St. Clair died unexpectedly and Joe was able to purchase the property where his Uncle Bob created his art glass. Joe was fortunate to purchase all the needed supplies and equipment and reopen. Joe Continues the family tradition to this day making Art Glass Paperweights and Marbles.What is the Aventurine Crystals? Aventurine is a form of microcrystalline quartz which has a multitude of sparkling flecks throughout it, making it very beautiful. It is actually specks mica which cause the sparkles in aventurine crystals. This crystal is predominantly found in areas of Brazil, Russia and India.
