Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for the McIntosh MC2100 amplifier. This contains new capacitors for the input board and two output boards, replacements for the two screw-terminal main capacitors, and 4 capacitors to replace the multi-section can capacitor with individual caps. This kit includes 28 parts–2 Chemi-Con main filter capacitors, 2 bipolar Nichicon Muse capacitors, 2 Wima film caps, 8 Supertech axial electrolytic caps, 4 Nichicon radial caps (to replace the can cap), and 10 transistors. The two main filter capacitors are upgraded to the new Chemi-Con 47000 uf 80v screw-terminal caps, which are drop-in replacements for the old ones. You may need to reuse the screws from the old main caps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. The capacitors are all at the same or improved capacitance (uf) ratings and the same or improved voltage ratings. The two filter caps go up a bit in capacitance, which is not an issue. All axial caps are replaced with new axial caps except the two 10 uf bipolar caps, which are replaced with bipolar radial Nichicon Muse 10 uf 50v caps. The MC2100 is a high-end amplifier, so you should have experience doing this type of work and should have a good soldering iron and desoldering tool. I will include very basic instructions, but this kit is intended for a professional or knowledgeable amateur. Please see my pictures for details.
