It’s actually shipped from the factory in the Trem receptacle and is under a paper sticker to keep it in place. The first thing the new guitar owner does is remove the paper sticker to insert the Trem arm and out drops the spring, never to be seen again. Well, I got you covered! I came up with this idea to keep the spring under a magnet cover that can be moved out of the way when the Trem arm is inserted and then cover the hole back up when removing the arm and placing the guitar in it’s case. This Authentic Fender® spring helps set your tremolo arm in a fixed position when used with any Fender® American series or American Standard series tremolo. The Steel bearing is inserted first and that gives the arm a more fluid feel. Simply insert the bearing first, then the spring into tremolo arm receptacle prior to installing tremolo arm. Package includes a high quality magnetic chrome cover, a Fender® spring, and a steel 4mm bearing. Screw the tremolo arm out of your bridge and drop the ball bearing in the hole. Drop the spring in next, and screw the arm back in place. That’s all there is to it!!Turning against the ball bearing keeps the spring from binding as it compresses under the tremolo arm.
