This is an Omega Seamaster 120 manufactured in 1978, commonly known as the ”baby ploprof”. It is an Omega diver that fans have attached the baby crown to because it is similar to the Ploprof (166.077). As the title says, all parts are ”fully original”. There are no service or replacement parts. The bezel is an early model with a distinctive ”4” font. (The bezel of the repair part has been changed from bakelite to aluminum, and there are many changes such as the abolition of the font and internal tritium, and the addition of luminous points, so I think it is the easiest to distinguish.) In particular, while the bakelite bezel has a lot of damage such as cracks and breaks, this one is in perfect condition. The angular ”4” font is a cool detail that is typical of old Omega. The dial, hands, and date disc are all original. (The dial of the repair part does not have the black line at the 12 o’clock position, and the hands have a different fluorescent orange finish and color.) I think the tritium tan is uniform and wonderful. The tan of the date disc also matches. Many ProPro-series hands have a large luminous area and cracks or fall off due to aging, but this one on sale clears that point. I think this is a very big point for those who are looking for it. The mesh bracelet with a distinctive clasp is also an original item. There is no excessive stretching, only the play that is unique to mesh bracelets, and I think it is in a very good category. There is no problem with the clasp lock. The belt is unpolished and maintains the details. (The number engraved on the back of the clasp for repair parts is 59. SP is the manufacturer’s stamp, and for service parts it is engraved with IAI or JJF.) The movement is Cal. 1010, which was planned as the next generation of the 500 series. Around 1978, quartz was at its peak, and the 1000 series is not often featured in prominent features, but it is a very accurate machine with reasonable overhaul costs and easy to manage. After releasing the screw-in crown, you can turn the date disc by pulling it once, and the hands by pulling it two times (with hack function). The case has no gouges, is unpolished, and is in very good condition as shown in the photo. The edges are not rounded. Due to the nature of divers, there are very few in good condition, so I think it is in miraculous condition. As mentioned above, it is rare to see a fully original genuine mesh bracelet with the 37 stamp on the market. I think this alone makes it valuable. The back cover is also in very good condition. There are no tool scratches. There are some marks on the satin finish, but they can be easily removed with a light polish. (However, polishing will round the edges near the tool holes, so we do not recommend it if you value originality.) The sapphire glass windshield is also in new condition with no scratches. The windshield from this era does not originally have the Omega watermark, but it remains the genuine part from that time. The crown is also very clean with no damage and can be screwed in firmly. The overhaul was completed when it was purchased in May 2021. The daily difference and each operation are perfect. We have also confirmed the mainspring charge with a weight by shaking the main body. The second hand moves smoothly around one revolution, and the date disc is also in good condition. The bezel turns left and right with a clicking and firm lock. There is no rattling at all.
